Megan Austen (She/her) is an actor/YouTuber from Ashland, Ohio. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting and Directing and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has been active both in film and on stage. On screen, she was Willow Terrance in the Investigation of the Mysterious Brynn Du Mansion, Ava in Detour to Love, and a partygoer in Please Stop. On stage, she recently starred as Rebecca Marchetti in Murderous Macroon, which can be found on Youtube. Some of her theatre roles include Shelby Eatonton-Lachrie in Steele Magnolias, a parkgoer/ chimney sweep in Mary Poppins, and the woman in Servant of Two Masters. Megan has also directed All Roads Lead to Rome? as part of the 10-minute Play Festival at Baldwin Wallace and assistant directed Charlotte's Web at Blue Macaroon Theatre Company. She also runs a YouTube channel where she makes various types of videos, including goal videos, vlogs, and cat videos. When she is not entertaining people, she is planning her next Disney trip or playing with her cats!
Artist Statement
I entertain audiences by being creative and passionate about my work. My work is meant to make audiences feel something while being my authentic self. When they see my work, people should at least laugh or cry and/or relate on some level. On the occasion, the audience should learn something, gain insight about something or grow in some way along side me. My work should be relatable and help those who feel silenced be heard. If someone can relate with me or my character then I have done my job.Â
